This genuine Husqvarna mulching kit recuts grass clippings into fine pieces that drop back into the lawn and break down as natural fertilizer. It includes the two mulching blades, the mulch plug that closes the discharge opening, and the mounting hardware.

Fitment

Fits most Husqvarna, Craftsman, Poulan Pro and Poulan tractors with 42-inch decks, 2006 and newer (wording from the retail box). Stamped decks only — this kit does not fit fabricated, welded or ClearCut 42-inch decks. Please confirm your deck type, 5-point star spindle pattern, and blade number 134149 before ordering.

Condition note: New, never installed. Ships without the original retail box (box photo is for identification only). The mulch plug shows light shelf dust and minor surface scuffs — see photos. Blade paint is bright and intact and the cutting edges are unused.

Will this fit my fabricated / ClearCut deck?

No. This is the stamped-deck kit. Fabricated and ClearCut 42-inch decks use a different mulching kit.

Which tractors does it fit?

Most Husqvarna, Craftsman, Poulan Pro and Poulan tractors with 42-inch decks from 2006 and newer, per the retail box. The deciding checks are a stamped 42-inch deck, a 5-point star spindle, and blade 134149.

Are the blades genuine Husqvarna?

Yes — both blades are stamped 134149 with GRASS SIDE markings and carry the orange Husqvarna finish shown in the photos.

Does it include the box?

No. The kit ships in a plain shipping box without the original retail packaging.

What else do I need to install it?

Nothing beyond normal hand tools — the latch hooks, springs, clips and fasteners are in the sealed hardware bag. Your existing blade bolts are reused. Blades are sharp — handle with gloves, disconnect the spark plug, and follow your tractor manual before working under the deck.
